Last year I went to a workshop on interior decoration. It was a nice thing to do although 4 hours was way too little time. Not even time to cover the basics. The interior decorator was nice but had ideas of her own. She thought that a black wall was a “no no” in interior decoration. It made wonder is she ever surfed the internet, because there are so much beautiful examples of using black in your interior. Of cause it is something you either love or not and you have to use black with care, but an interior decorator should not limit herself or her work to what she thinks is o.k.

I love the use of black or very dark grey. In my own kitchen I have a niche in dark grey where my stove is and it really adds depth! So I always use a picture of it when I try to convince clients to go for it….
