Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
Valentine’s Day is not a big thing in our house. My love thinks it is a commercial thing. Although I agree the romantic in my loves it anyway! Sigh!
I do exchange a Valentine’s Day card with my sister though. Many years ago my mom renamed Valentine’s Day into Children’s Day. As she thought that besides Mother’s Day and Father’s Day there should be a special day for her children. She would buy us a little present and give it to us with a Valentin’s card. After my mom passed away my sis and me sort of kept the tradition of exchanging cards.
This year I made her a heart garland inspired by this post on One Sheepish Girl. As I didn’t have time to crochet a lot of hearts and take part in the Yarn Bombing Day, I decided I would crochet a heart garland for my sister. I used the instructions on Meredith’s blog for the hearts and yarn the from The Crochet Book tin by Cath Kidston that I got for Christmas 2011.
Do you celebrate Valentin’s Day?

Cute little garland! H is right.. it is a Commercial holiday.. but I still love it!
What a sweet gift for your sister! Yes, we usually do give little tokens of love but always something homemade. Not much into the commercialism of the day. Wishing you a belated Happy Valentine’s Day
